Last name first, followed by a comma and then first name and then the middle initial (if given).- Bagchi, Alaknanda M.
Two or three authors
The first author's name is reversed (the last name comes first, followed by a comma and the first name), and all other names are in normal order- Cramer, Sharon, and Jon Cole.
Four or more authors
If there are four authors or more, you may list all the authors in the order in which their names appear on the title page or you may list only the first author followed by the phrase et al. in place of the subsequent authors' names.
- Reading, Stephen, Charles F. Hilson, and Gordon Smith.
- Jenkins, Kathy, et al.
