General tips
- Associations, corporations, agencies, government departments and organizations are considered authors when there is no single author
- List editions other than the first
- When more than one city is listed for the same publisher, use only the first city.
- For university presses, use U for University and P for Press, e.g., Princeton UP.

- When citing an entire book that lists editors on its title page, insert the editor's name in the place where the authors' names are now, followed by , ed (if only one editor), , eds (if more than one editor is listed)

Translated Book – Print Version
- Cite as you would any other book. Add "Trans." (the abbreviation for translated by) and follow with the name(s) of the translator(s).

Chapter in an edited book – Print version
- The editor is listed after the book title, with the abbreviation 'Ed.' before the name (even for more than one editor)

Book – Electronic version
- URLs are no longer required. Only include URL if reader will be unlikely to find book otherwise or teacher requires it.
- Library Database: Provide the same information as you would for a printedbook and add the name of the database in italics, and indicate the publication medium as Web and the date of access.
